The ex-president of the
Eurogroup, former Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem,
wants to punish Italy for its 2019 budget, the
anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) said Friday, posting a
video of an interview with him.
The centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD) accused the
M5S of tampering with the interview and substituting a voiceover
that distorted Dijsselbleom's words, but the M5S said there was
no manipulation and his views were "serious".
Class CNBC said "#Dijsselbloem Case, our version published
October 19: the tones of the ex-president @EUCouncil are more
than conciliatory".
