The Turin court of appeals on
Friday ruled in favour of a significant part of a case brought
by five former riders with food delivery service Foodora.
The riders claimed they had been unjustly fired after
mobilising for fair wages, and claimed their right to a salary
as contracted employees.
The Turin labour court had ruled against the claims last June.
The appeals court judges recognised the riders' right to
receive pay calculated on the rates established for employees on
a collective contract for logistics and merchandise transport.
