An Alitalia pilot committed suicide
Wednesday after being suspended after he was cited for firing
shots into a wall in his house after a domestic row on Easter
Sunday. The pilot, Maurizio Foglietti, reportedly hanged himself
in this Umbrian city where he lived. Foglietti was a very
experienced pilot who flew Italian President Sergio Mattarella
down to Palermo on a scheduled flight for a private visit to his
home town in February, sources said.
