Parliament will approve a
government bill on civil unions by the end of the year, Premier
Matteo Renzi said Wednesday. "But a lot will depend on how the
debate in the Senate goes," he said. "We must speed
constitutional reforms by the end of September and then wrap up
civil unions within the first weeks of October," before the
budget, so they can go to the House, he said.
