A case against five youths who
allegedly cyberbullied a 14-year-old girl to suicide five years
ago was shelved after a minors court said they had recognised
the error of their ways on Wednesday.
The five had been accused of persecutory acts, group sexual
violence, underage pornography, possession of pornographic
material, defamation, and death as a consequence of other crimes
in the Novara suicide of Carolina Picchio.
Picchio leapt to her death from her window in 2013 after
becoming the victim of the alleged gang's cyberbullying with sex
videos.
Their alleged crimes will be expunged following the minors
court's decision.
