The 75th edition of Italy's iconic Sanremo Song Fest will feature the comeback of the New Proposals for up and coming crooners as well as 24 affirmed singers, the so-called Champions, who will compete to win the festival, which will be presented by the event's artistic director Carlo Conti, organizers said.
The regulation of the 75th edition of the festival - which will be broadcast on first channel of State broadcaster RAI on February 11-15, 2025 - was published on Tuesday.
Florence-born Conti, 63, will be running the show for the fourth time after presenting previous editions in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
He is taking over from Ravenna-born Amadeus, 61, who stepped down after five highly successful editions of the beloved TV jamboree and song contest.
Changes introduced in next year's edition include the number of Italian music stars competing to win the event - 24 - as well as a new voting system under which the votes obtained by the five finalists on the last night will be added to those they won over the previous evenings - with the exception of the 'Covers' event when the artists have to choose and interpret classic Italian songs.
The festival's slogan, however, will remain the same - "Everybody sings Sanremo!'.
