Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday
confirmed she will visit Lebanon.
When asked by reporters whether she was considering a mission to
Lebanon while leaving the Lower House after handing over the
text of communications ahead of the European Council scheduled
on October 17-18, Meloni said: "Yes".
Previously, in an address to the Senate ahead of the European
Council, Meloni expressed "concern for the ongoing escalation in
Lebanon, because I am seriously worried about the way in which
the scenario is evolving, despite the numerous efforts (made by)
us and our allies".
