Facebook will be the "main
sponsor" of the 2017 International Festival of Journalism in
Perugia, journalism partnerships manager Aine Kerr announced on
Wednesday.
"The International Journalism Festival is recognized as one
of the most influential and impactful annual news conferences,
providing a place where journalists, thought leaders and
innovators can converge to learn, listen and strategize," she
wrote in a statement posted on Facebook.
"Recognizing the festival's important role, Facebook is proud
to be a main sponsor and an active participant in this year's
workshops and sessions. Adam Mosseri, VP of Product who leads
the product team in charge of News Feed, will be at the event
speaking with the industry about the products his team is
building and to take feedback and questions," she added.
The next edition of the festival will be held in Perugia on
April 5-9.
