"Bosnia and Herzegovina has always been at the heart of Europe", said Ambassador Luigi Soreca, the new head of the EU representation in Sarajevo, in a video message of greeting to all citizens of the Balkan country. In it, the Italian diplomat emphasised his strong commitment to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to EU membership. "My ambition is to celebrate several goals together," Soreca said, noting the centrality of reforms, which he said could bring concrete benefits to citizens even before the country's full EU membership. "Better public services, a stronger rule of law, a more competitive economy, better transport links and networks, and cleaner energy are just a few examples," Soreca said.
