The Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires and the Pizzaioli School announce the 2024 edition of the 'Pizzaioli School Championship', the most important in South America. The fourth edition, renamed 'Special Year of the Roots', is preparing to surprise lovers of the famous Italian dish once again.
The event, which aims to perpetuate and promote authentic Italian pizza and food culture, will take place on 28 and 29 September with the participation of contestants from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Colombia, among other countries.
"This is more than a competition, it is a tribute to Italian gastronomy, to our roots and traditions, as well as to the friendship between our peoples," said the Consul General of Italy in Buenos Aires, Carmelo Barbera, who emphasised the importance of the event especially in this "year of Italian roots in the world".
