President Giorgio Napolitano on Tuesday said that Italy was especially at risk from extremist terrorism and therefore must be ready of combat it with its international allies. "New and more aggressive forms of extremism and fanaticism risk hitting Europe, Italy in particular, gradually infiltrating society," the head of State said in his message for national unity and armed forces day.
"It's a real threat, a military threat too, that we must be ready to prevent and combat together with the EU and NATO".
