Enrico Costa from the New Center
Right (NCD) party was sworn in Friday as the new minister of
regional affairs and the family.
Premier Matteo Renzi tapped him to fill a post that had
been vacant since former minister Maria Carmela Lanzetta
resigned in January 2015.
Costa is the former deputy justice minister.
The NCD is a junior member of the government coalition
along with Renzi's center-left Democratic Party (PD).
