Anti-establishment 5-Star
Movement (M5S) leader Beppe Grillo on Wednesday held a summit on
a Rome administrative crisis with the M5S's five-strong
leadership panel outside Rome on the road to Nettuno, sources
said.
Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi did not attend the summit and was
said to be waiting for Grillo at City Hall.
Grillo may address a rally this evening in Nettuno with
bigwigs Luigi Di Maio and Alessandro Di Battista, the sources
said. All give members of the party 'directorate' - Di Maio,
Battista, Roberto Fico, Carla Ruocco and Carlo Sibilia - will be
in Nettuno for the conclusive event in Di Battista's round-Italy
motorbike tour campaigning against the government's
Constitutional reform, Sibilia tweeted.
Raggi has been rocked by a probe into environment cabinet
member Paola Muraro and allegations of hypocrisy in keeping the
investigation a secret, along with Muraro, for a month and a
half.
She was also hit by five resignations in one day last week.
