Rome is hosting Europe's largest
drone event starting Friday at a satellite airport, media
announced.
"The future of aviation is in drones, the pioneers of today
are like the Wright brothers a century ago," event organizer
Luciano Castro said.
The three-day Rome Drone 2015 event showcases 60 exhibitors
and 200 drones, including Red Cross relief drones, police and
military drones, and 50 drones made by children, who will fly
together as a group.
Drones are increasingly being used in agriculture,
archaeology, journalism, and other fields
"We are certain of the importance of the growth of the
drone industry, not only for its applications but also for its
potential as a job creator," Senate Deputy Speaker Valeria
Fedeli said.
