Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was in sixth
in qualifying for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos in
a dramatic rain-hit session featuring numerous crashes and five
red flags.
Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz was among the drivers to have an
accident, hitting the wall in Q2.
He qualified 14th but looks set to be bumped up a place as Red
Bull's three-time world champion and drivers' standings leader
Max Verstappen, who was 12th, is set to start 17th on the grid
due to getting a five-place penalty for fitting a sixth engine.
McLaren's Lando Norris, who trails Verstappen by 44 points, took
pole position.
