The Council of Europe's monitoring committee against money laundering, Moneyval, approved the Vatican's Second Progress Report on Tuesday during its Plenary Meeting in Strasbourg, said the Holy See Press Office on Wednesday.
"The latest Progress Report confirms that the Holy See has
established a functional, sustainable and effective system,
aiming at preventing and fighting financial crimes," said
Monsignor Antoine Camilleri, Under-Secretary for Relations with
States, and Head of Delegation of the Holy See and Vatican City
State to the Moneyval Plenary.
This Second Progress Report follows on the previous one
from December 2013, and is part of Moneyval procedure for all
member States.
