Carbon dating of bones found at the Vatican's nunciature to Italy will start November 30 to see if they date to 1983 when two 15-year-old girls disappeared in Rome, sources said Wednesday.
Investigators are also trying to get DNA from the bones to
compare with that of the girls, Emanuela Orlandi and Mirella
Gregori.
Rome prosecutors have opened a murder probe.
The bones were found on October 31.
Preliminary tests have said they probably belong to a
25-30-year-old woman.
