Extremist group Islamic
State (ISIS) on Thursday released an audio message purportedly
by its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in a bid to disprove
unconfirmed reports of his death or injury in a recent United
States air strike.
"Make the volcanoes of jihad erupt everywhere," the audio
message said.
"The crusaders' missiles will not stop our advance on
Rome".
In it, a man identified as al-Baghdadi references
President Barack Obama's announcement Friday that the US will
send 1,500 additional troops to Iraq, according to the SITE
Intelligence Group, which monitors global terrorist activity.
