the Albanian and Italian national anthems and welcomed us with a
beautiful song of the Arbëreshë tradition. Piana degli Albanesi,
centre of Arbëreshë culture in Sicily, makes us feel at home
together, members of the same community: Albanians, Italians and
Italo-Albanians," said the President of the Republic, Sergio
Mattarella. Mattarella spoke at the Seminary Theatre of Piana
degli Albanesi in Palermo during a visit with the Albanian
President Bajram Begaj.
