"We want to expand further
cooperation between our region and that of Vysocina in the Czech
Republic to build an evolving framework that will be the basis
for mutual support initiatives and the strengthening of tourist,
cultural and economic exchanges.
Friuli Venezia Giulia has always been a popular destination
for Czech citizens, while Vysocina is an area of outstanding
beauty yet to be discovered. Therefore, improving the exchange
of information and best practices is essential, enhancing mutual
peculiarities and working to strengthen connections."
This was stated today by Sergio Emidio Bini, the Councillor
for Productive Activities and Tourism, who is visiting the
Vysocina region by proxy of Governor Fedriga.
"The conditions are ripe to forge an increasingly close
partnership between our realities," Bini underlined. We can work
together on projects involving important areas like tourism,
industry, research, innovation, health and social care, and
managing public services.
Accompanied by Vysocina Vice-President in charge of tourism
Roman Fabes, Bini visited the city of Humpolec today.
"The Czech Republic," the councilor remarked," represents a
traditional market for FVG for the beach season but also for ski
vacations. After Covid, the data are constantly growing. In
2023, compared to the previous year, arrivals rose by 27.4
percent and presences by 23.4 percent. A total of 64,582 Czech
tourists stayed in our accommodations."
