"Many things will certainly change
under a government led by Donald Trump; he has always stated
this clearly," said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a statement
following Donald Trump's election in the United States. "Our
messages are clear: first and foremost, Germany is still a
reliable transatlantic partner. We understand what contribution
we must make to this partnership and will continue to make it in
the future. And this also applies to the threat that Russia
poses to all NATO partners," Scholz added.
