A new strong appeal for the
acceleration of the Western Balkans' European integration
process was launched today in Tivat, Montenegro, at a regional
summit held within the framework of the Brdo-Brioni process, an
initiative launched jointly over the years by Slovenia and
Croatia with the goal of supporting the European path of the
region's countries. Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar,
speaking at a press conference at the end of the work, stated
that her country and Croatia, both of which are already members
of the Union, are the most ardent supporters of accelerating the
EU's Balkan enlargement process.
