Ten top-notch events spanning
symphonic music, John Williams' soundtracks, jazz, and popular
music. These are the highlights of the 72nd Ljubljana Festival,
which closes Sept. 3. On the bill Tuesday, August 27, is
Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flòrez. He will always be accompanied
by the Slovenian Radio Tv Symphony Orchestra led by Oxana Lyniv.
On Wednesday, August 28, and Thursday, August 29, there are
two outstanding concerts with Antonio Pappano and the London
Symphony Orchestra. Sir Antony Pappano was Music Director of the
Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia from 2005 to 2023.
All concerts occur at 8 p.m. in the great hall of the
Cankarjev Dom in the Slovenian capital.
