"Today is a very important
meeting in the process of strengthening our partnership,"
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated in his opening remarks to
the Italy-Slovenia Committee of Ministers. "The decision to
suspend Schengen by mutual agreement, as well as to work with
Croatia to establish trilateral cooperation between our police
forces to control external borders, is undoubtedly a
pro-European message," Tajani concluded.
