"Three projects help to increase balanced and sustainable development and cultural enhancement of the Adriatic Ionian Macroregion area." The Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea (ADSP) is participating in three new initiatives funded by the Italy-Croatia cross-border cooperation program with 1.1 m euros.
The Central Adriatic Sea ADSP "is the lead partner in the Adrijoroutes-Promoting sustainable solutions for maritime cultural tourism project to continue the path undertaken with the Adrijo network and the digital platform www.adrijo.eu, a tool launched in 2022 to enhance through this virtual museum the identity and cultural heritage of the eight partner ports, Ancona, Venice, Trieste, Ravenna, Rijeka, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Split. The Adrijo network will expand to all Central Adriatic ports." "The experience of enhancing the cultural heritage of ports will continue with the ADSPs of the ports of Ravenna, Venice, Trieste, the Croatian maritime intermodal cluster, the Port Authorities of Dubrovnik and Zadar, and the Split County Development Agency. The Central Adriatic Sea ADSP is a partner in the project Mileport, Improving the Last Mile accessibility of Adriatic Ports," led by the East Adriatic Sea ADSP in Trieste, to improve last-mile accessibility in Adriatic ports with ICT solutions and increased multimodal transport efficiency.
In Ancona, the camera system between gateways and Marotti port will be operational soon to complete the tracking and monitoring system for trucks disembarking and embarking. The third project in which ADSP is a partner is Cresport, Improving the Cyber Resilience and Security of Adriatic Ports, to improve the cyber network and security of Adriatic ports by adopting a common strategy and master plan to ensure compliance with key international references for cybersecurity of critical infrastructure.
Cresport will help design the infrastructure to connect the harbors. "We are proud to participate in these new European projects that will certainly contribute to the growth of institutional and inter-partner collaboration in the Adriatic Ionian Macro-region," said Vincenzo Garofalo, President of the Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea.
