A truck loaded with acid hit a car on
the A21 motorway at Piacenza Thursday killing the lorry driver
and intoxicating seven other people.
The vehicle, loaded with paracetic acid, smashed into a car with
three people on board.
The driver of the truck died on impact, while the three were
intoxicated and were transported to the hospital in Piacenza
together with four other people who had helped them to get out
of the passenger compartment.
Seven people were intoxicated in all, but none of them is in
life-threatening condition.
