Justice Minister Carlo Nordio opened
the G7 on Justice in Venice and announced that it would set up a
standing group to implement laws, the Venice Justice Group.
"It is a great pleasure to welcome the G7 on Justice today: the
most important innovation will be the establishment of a Venice
Justice Group, which will be permanent for the implementation
and guarantee of laws," he told reporters.
"It is an important day because it consolidates a unity of
intentions and a unity of direction in the fight against
organised crime, against human trafficking, against the spread
of particularly dangerous drugs such as fentanyl, and also with
regard to the interest we have in developments in artificial
intelligence".
