(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - A Sardinian village is offering
one-euro homes to Americans fleeing Donald Trump.
Ollolai near Nuoro has for some time been inviting people to do
up one-euro homes to help repopulate a community that boasts
just over 1,000 souls.
Now, amid a wave of Americans unhappy after Trump's stunning
comeback, the picturesque mountain village has sent a message to
those wanting to leave the States.
Ollolai's "bring life back" campaign website asks:
"Are you worn out by global politics?
It's time to start building your European escape in the stunning
paradise of Sardinia."
Mayor Francisco Columbu says on the site:
"We have specifically created this website now to meet U.S
post-election relocation needs."
The call has already attracted the attention of media outlets
including CNN. (ANSA).
