(ANSA) - Rome, December 16 - Champions Juventus pulled six points clear at the top of Serie A by thrashing Sassuolo 4-0 on Sunday, although second-placed AS Roma can cut the lead back to three points if they win at AC Milan late on Monday. A hat-trick by Argentine forward Carlos Tevez and a goal by full back Federico Peluso helped Turin giants Juve put last week's ejection from the Champions League with a 1-0 loss at Galatasaray behind them. Napoli consolidated third place and stayed in the hunt by thumping Inter 4-2 at home. Fiorentina leapfrogged Inter and moved into fourth place thanks to an impressive 3-0 win over Bologna. Juventus have 43 points from 16 games, while Roma have 37 points and a game in hand. Napoli have 35 points, Fiorentina have 30 and fifth-placed Inter have 28.
