(ANSA) - Vatican City, December 18 - Pope Francis reserved a warm smile for a special present he received during a general audience Wednesday. "Good, good," he commented when Holy Land Editions (ETS) publisher Giuseppe Caffulli handed him an illustrated children's book titled The Story of Jorge the Mouse and the Pope who Befriended Him, featuring a cover drawing of Francis building a nativity scene with the help of a mouse. Written by Father Stefano Gorla with drawings by Ivano Ceriani, the book tells the story of a mouse who discovers he has the same given name as the pope. When they become friends, the pope starts telling him stories, which he then repeats to his friends in the mouse community. The final story is the one about an infant god, who comes to Earth to be close to children, the poor and the humble. "Mice too?" asks Jorge. "Mice too. And cats. He doesn't forget anyone," answers the pope.
