(ANSA) - Rome, March 27 -The civil protection agency said Saturday that 10,023 people have died with the coronavirus in Italy,after a rise of 889 in the last 24 hours.
That was down from Friday's record daily increase of 969.
The department said 70,065 people are currently infected with the coronavirus in Italy, 3,651 up on Friday. That compared to Friday's daily rise of 4,401.
It said 12,384 people have now recovered from the coronavirus in Italy, up 1,434 in 24 hours. On Thursday the daily rise was 589.
The total number of cases in Italy (infected+dead+recovered) is 92,472.
