Italian rocker Gianna Nannini on
Thursday said ex-Beatle Paul McCartney should reschedule two
concerts he was forced to cancel by the coronavirus this month
instead of rapping Italy for failing to give refunds and
offering fans vouchers.
"Paul, dear Paul, we don't need you rapping Italy. Instead of
cancelling your concerts what would it take to reschedule them
like we're doing, and as many international artists are doing?"
the Siena-born rocker said on Facebook.
McCartney on Wednesday slammed the Italian government's
decision to allow organizers to issue vouchers rather than
refunds for his two cancelled Italian concerts this month,
saying it was "really scandalous".
The music legend was set to play Naples June 10 and the Lucca
Summer Festival June 13.
Culture Minister Dario Franceschini said parliament would
make sure fans got refunds.
