(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 15 - An Algiers cpourt on Monday fined
Italian multinational oilfield services company Saipem, Saipem
Contracting Algérie and Snamprogetti Algeria Branch 192 million
euros in a first-instance ruling on the allocation of the GNL3
Arzew project in 2008, the three companies said in a statement
saying they will appeal.
Saipem, which is 30% controlled by oil giant Eni, said the fine
would hit 2021 accounts even if it not levied having been
suspended by the appeal.
A Milan court definitively acquitted Saipem of all wrongdoing in
the case on December 14, 2020, the company said. (ANSA).
