Italy is to approve a fourth COVID-19
vaccine jab for the over-60s, lowering the threshold from 80,
Health Minister Roberto Speranza said Monday.
He said Italy would "move in line" with recommendations from the
European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Centre for
Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
"We will immediately open up the administration of the fourth
dose for people over 60 on our territories," he said.
Hitherto only the over-80s, care home residents and 'fragile'
categories could get the fourth jab.
