Disgraced American actor Kevin
Spacey, engulfed by the #MeToo wave with one case won but others
ongoing on gay molestation charges, told ANSA in Turin where he
is to pick up a prize from the cinema museum Monday that he
lived each day as it came and had not hidden away in a cave.
"I live my life each day, I go to the restaurant, I meet people,
I drive, I play tennis, I've always met generous, genuine and
compassionate people," said the 63-year-old
Weinstein-scandal-hit actor and American Beauty Oscar winner,
who will receive Turin Cinema Museum's Stella della Mole Award
later Monday.
"I haven't hidden away, I haven't gone to live in a cave".
The decision to honour Spacey by the film museum, where he is
also giving a masterclass, has ruffled feathers, especially
among Italian members of the #MeToo movement.
He added: "What you see in the media is not real life, I'm no
getting ,y public life back because I've never left it".
