Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has
said Wednesday's wave of cyberattacks on Italian companies and
public institutions were "a threat, a warning" after Premier
Giorgia Meloni visited Kyiv on Tuesday and reiterated Italy's
support for Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
The impact of the attacks was curtained by cyber-defence
systems.
The pro-Russian NoName057 group claimed responsibility for the
attacks in a statement on Telegram in which it referred to the
government approving a sixth package of military aid to Ukraine
and accused Italy of being "Russiaphobic".
