Inter Milan trimmed Napoli's massive
lead at the top of Serie A to 15 points by beating Lecce 2-0 at
San Siro on Sunday while Jose Mourinho's AS Roma moved into the
top four thanks to a 1-0 win over Juventus in the capital.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lautaro Martinez were on target for
Inter, who are second with 50 points from 25 games, while Napoli
have 65 after losing 1-0 to third-placed Lazio on Friday for
their first home defeat in the league this season.
Defender Gianluca Mancini won Sunday's big match for Roma with a
powerful shot from outside the box in the second half.
Juve's hopes of grabbing a late equalizer were dented when
substitute Moise Kean got himself send off just seconds after
coming on for kicking Mancini following a tussle with the ball.
Roma are fourth, which is good for Italy's last Champions League
qualification slot, with 47 points and are ahead of champions AC
Milan on goal difference.
Milan lost 2-1 at Fiorentina on Saturday.
Juve, who have had 15 points docked for financial
irregularities, are eighth with 35 points.
