A Milan judge on Thursday found three
young men guilty of cat-calling in one of Italy's first trials
regarding comments of a sexually suggestive, threatening or
derisive nature directed at someone in public.
The three were all soldiers at the time of the incident in March
2021 in which they targetted a 19-year-old woman with repeated
insults, although one has since left the Italian Army.
They were handed suspended one-month jail terms.
Their lawyers said they would appeal.
