Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara
was wrong to blame centre left run city councils for Italy's
student rent crisis, his cabinet colleague and University
Minister Anna Maria Bernini said Wednesday.
Sources said there was "irritation" at the Ministry of
Universities over the "pursuit of antagonism" with local
administrations, which is deemed counterproductive to achieving
an effective and as far as possible shared solution to the
problem of high rents for students.
The road to be taken to resolve a long-standing problem -
according to information from qualified sources - must be that
of dialogue and the involvement of all. And Minister Anna Maria
Bernini is determined to continue along this line "without
fuelling useless polemics"., the sources said.
