Peace will come to Ukraine if and
when Russia halts hostilities after its invasion there, Premier
Giorgia Meloni said after Rome talks with President Volodymyr
Zelensky Saturday.
"Peace will come only if and when Russia ceases hostilities",
said Meloni at the end of her meeting with Zelensky.
The premier renewed her appeal to Moscow "to stop the aggression
and withdraw its troops".
"We support," she added, "a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
We support President Zelensky's 10-point peace formula. And we
recognise the legitimate European aspirations of Ukraine, the
security outpost of the entire European continent'.
