No evacuation of Italians from Russia
is in the works, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said as the
Wagner militia advanced on Moscow from Ukraine with its leader
Yevgeny Prigozhin declaring civil war on President Vladmir Putin
Saturday.
"it's not time to speak of an evacuation of Italians because no
G7 or European country has thought of this," Tajani told Tg1.
"We have asked the Russian government to protect the embassies
of western countries, but nothing more.
"At the moment there are no dangers for our citizens, therefore
an evacuation is not foreseen, but we are following the
situation minute by minute".
