'Eco-anxiety' due to the growing
manifestations of extreme weather linked to the climate crisis
is growing, Italian psychologists said Thursday.
The crisis affects people's health spurring states of stress,
anxiety, sadness and also major fears for the future, said the
Marche psychologists guild.
"Eco anxiety has been spawned by events that had previously been
exceptional becoming increasingly more common and severe," said
Katia Marilungo, chair of the guild in the north-central
Adriatic region.
"Young people are most at risk," she said.
