Italy will bask in summery weather for
another 10 days at least, Antonio Sanò of the ww.IlMeteo.it
weather website said Monday.
Conditions will be unusually warm for this period, with highs of
33 degrees celsius across most of the country, almost a record
for this time of the year, he said.
Normally average temperatures at the beginning of October are
about 10 degrees lower.
A cooler front will move into northern regions Wednesday and
Thursday but then the hot weather will return, said the
forecaster.
"We'll have to wait for the second ten days of the month to see
autumn conditions," said Sanò.
Italians have been back at the beach in droves recently, with
beaches packed this last weekend.
