Expulsion proceedings have been
initiated against the Tunisian citizen who was arrested last
Monday after shouting threats against Jews near the synagogue in
Turin, as well as against the person in charge of the place of
worship, Interior Undersecretary Nicola Molteni said Friday in
response to a question in the Chamber of Deputies.
"The foreigner, who in the circumstance also brandished a knife
at the agents," Molteni recalled, "was arrested for resistance
to a public official, carrying offensive instruments, violation
of immigration regulations and for incitement to crime for
reasons of ethnic, racial or religious discrimination."
