Justice Minister Carlo Nordio during
the programme XXI Secolo on Raiuno, said on the hearing in
Hungary for Ilaria Salis, an antifascist militant charged with
attacking two neoNazis, that "It is a very harsh picture after
she was pulled into court with her hands and feet cuffed.
"We have met the father, of course the Hungarian judiciary is
sovereign.
"We can activate, as we are activating, through diplomatic
channels, doing everything we can to mitigate the harsh
conditions in which she is being held," said Nordio.
Salis, 39, from MOnza near Milan, is facing up to 11 years in
jail.
