A 55-year-old Foggia gangster,
Vincenzo Fratepietro, one of Italy's most wanted mafiosi, was
caught Wednesday after over a year on the run.
Fratepietro, known in mafia circles as "Enzo the Sticking
Plaster", was arrested at Carovigno, in the province of
Brindisi, in an operation coordinated by the local anti-mafia
directorate (DDA) of Bari.
In March 2023 he was served an arrest warrant in the Cocktail
probe and was also involved in the Game Over anti-mafia
operation.
