Italy's big three trade union
federations, CGIl, CISL and UIl, on Friday called a 'general
strike' in Tuscany lasting the last two hours of the day's shift
after a building site collapse at a Florence supermarket that is
feared to have killed at least six workers.
"We appeal to institutions, the world of business and politics,
and control bodies, no more deaths at work!" the unions said in
a joint statement.
