Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson will
leave Lazio when his contract with the Rome club expires at the
end of the season and return to his homeland to play for
Palmeiras, the São Paulo side have said on their website.
The Brazilian champions said the 31-year-old's contract with
them will run until the end of 2027.
The talented player made over 300 appearances for Lazio over two
stints, the first between 2013 and 2018 and the second starting
in 2021 after he had spells at West Ham United and Porto, and
has scored 58 goals for them.
He was given flak from Lazio fans during Friday's 4-1 win over
bottom side Salernitana, in which he scored twice, after it was
reported he was set to join Serie A giants Juventus.
