Juventus said Friday they had sacked
Massimiliano Allegri for conduct unbecoming the club's values.
The Turin giants said they had decided to relieve the
56-year-old Tuscan coach of his duties for "behaviour during and
after the Coppa Italia final, which the club has deemed not
compatible with the values of Juventus and with the behaviour
that those who represent the club must have."
Towards the end of the match that gave Juve their record
extending 15th Italian Cup after a 1-0 win over Atalanta at the
Olpimpico, Allegri staged an extraordinary protest aganst match
and club officials, ripping off his jacket and tie and storming
along the touchline before having a heated altercation with
Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago in the runnel after the game.
