Jasmine Paolini has said she is
looking to contribute to Italy's medal haul at the Paris
Olympics after her remarkable run at Wimbledon ended with defeat
to Czech Barbora Krejcikova in the final on Saturday.
The 28-year-old late bloomer is at a career-best number 5 in the
WTA rankings after they were updated on Monday, up two
positions, having reached a second consecutive Grand Slam
following defeat to world number one Iga Świątek of Poland at
the French Open last month.
"My goal now is the Olympics," Paolini told Vogue in an
interview.
"I can't wait to start.
"I want to believe in myself and not set any limits. Ever".
